THE ROMY PROJECT:
A CONTEMPORARY CANVAS OF TEXTURE AND TONE

The Romy Project embraces the beauty of subtle contrasts — a home where each room is defined by a distinct material language, yet together they form a seamless and cohesive design narrative. Through the thoughtful application of porcelain slabs and surfaces, the project balances serenity with expressiveness, warmth with clarity.

A Dining Table Rooted in Earth

At the heart of the dining space stands a striking travertine-look porcelain tabletop — a piece that channels the tactile charm of natural stone while offering the functionality needed for everyday living. The stone’s soft beige tone, delicate striations, and matte finish ground the setting in simplicity, allowing the colorful chairs and modern lighting above to add vibrancy and personality.

The Romy Project is a testament to how porcelain can adapt across settings — from statement pieces to understated surfaces.

Bright Functionality in the Kitchen

In the kitchen, a palette of crisp blue cabinetry is paired with the clean surface of Absolute White porcelain for the countertops and backsplash. This material introduces light and clarity into the room while offering practical resistance to stains, heat, and wear — all while maintaining a pristine, uninterrupted surface that complements the coastal charm of the design.

Two Bathrooms, Two Distinct Stories

Each bathroom in the Romy Project tells a different story through material:  The guest powder room features Dream Wood by Fondovalle, avertical slab installation that evokes the painterly feel of ink on woodgrain.
The surface brings fluidity and movement, enhanced by asculptural freestanding sink and ambient perimeter lighting. In contrast, the main bathroom makes a bolder statement withCalacatta Black decorative porcelain.
Rich dark veining across a deepbase turns the shower enclosure into a feature wall, while naturallight floods in from the panoramic city view, highlighting the slab’sdepth and detailing.

    Warmth Beneath Your Feet

In the bedrooms, wood-effect porcelain tiles are laid in a chevron pattern, offering both texture and rhythm. The result is a feeling of warmth and comfort underfoot, with the visual familiarity of timber and the durability of porcelain — ideal for both style and longevity.

Each choice of the project reflects a design philosophy that values texture, permanence, and intentionality, allowing the materials to speak softly yet confidently within the architecture of everyday life.
