Extruded Porcelain Clip System with EPDM

This invisible mechanical fixing system is specifically engineered for 20 mm extruded porcelain tiles with factory-integrated, full-width edge grooves. It uses concealed stainless steel clips, anchored to a vertical aluminum substructure, to achieve a seamless, hardware-free façade surface.A key feature of the system is the continuous EPDM gasket placed inside the vertical aluminum profiles. This element prevents water ingress through vertical joints, cushions the tile edges, and reduces vibration and acoustic transfer. The system supports both horizontal and vertical tile installation, ensuring long-term structural integrity, aesthetic consistency, and ease of maintenance for ventilated façade applications.

Performance Characteristics

  • Designed for use with 20 mm extruded porcelain tiles
  • Factory-formed full-width groove allows for precise, concealed mechanical fixing
  • Stainless steel clips (316-grade, 1.5 mm) remain hidden once installed
  • Continuous EPDM gasket in vertical profiles improves joint sealing and impact resistance
  • Dry installation with no adhesives or mortars required
  • Flexible orientation: vertical or horizontal tile layouts supported
  • 5 mm joint spacing ensures clean lines and effective drainage
  • Modular approach supports on-site tile cutting while retaining groove integrity
  • Engineered for structural performance under wind load and thermal expansion
  • Individual tiles can be removed and replaced without affecting surrounding panels
  • Pre-grooved tiles minimize installation time and material waste

Component Breakdown

  1. Structural Support Wall: Concrete, CMU, or framed wall structure (not supplied)
  2. Waterproofing Layer: Protective layer between wall and bracket (not supplied)
  3. Thermal Insulation: Installed behind the substructure for enhanced energy efficiency (not supplied)
  4. Mechanical Anchors: Fix aluminum brackets securely to the substrate
  5. Thermal Break Pads: Placed between brackets and structure to reduce thermal bridging and galvanic reactions
  6. Stainless Steel Self-Drilling Screws: Used to fix brackets, clips, and aluminum profiles
  7. Aluminum Brackets (L-shaped): Define cavity depth and transfer structural loads
  8. Vertical Aluminum Profiles: L- and T-shaped carrier rails that house clips and EPDM gaskets
  9. EPDM Vertical Gasket: Inserted in vertical profile grooves to seal joints, cushion tiles, and reduce vibration
  10. Concealed Fixing Clips: Stainless steel 316, 1.5 mm thick; inserted into tile grooves for secure, invisible fixing
  11. Extruded Porcelain Tiles: 20 mm thick tiles with factory-integrated full-width edge grooves
